Monday Musings of Pastor Ron - November 2, 2026

Friends,

I usually send out our newsletter on Monday, but it is Tuesday and I am still working on it. I spent yesterday making my way toward Maryland driving through Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi before stopping for the night. Almost to Tennessee as I write this morning. As I drive, I like to see what the billboards are selling. It is kind of fun to see what advertisements are out there in the world. What I have found interesting on this trip are the number of billboards about Jesus and Christianity. Not just the billboard itself but the messages. "The only way to God is through Jesus". Jesus - what does he say about Christianity and Politics" They are all sponsored by a variety of groups. I didn't go through West Texas, so I haven't seen any with a date for the end of the world.

I don't know how much those organizations pay for a billboard, but I know that we are much more effective than a billboard. When we share the gospel message it is coming with a personal relationship not some cold billboard. When we interact with others, they can see Christ at work in the world. They don't just see words painted on a big sign.

Keep lighting up the world with your witness.

God Bless. Don't forget Rev. Burns will be here Sunday. Please welcome him with your normal warm, loving selves.
